The Granny Sqaures are coming along for Madison's new afghan.
Not much crafting this weekend -- we're off to see Ringling Bros. Circus tomorrow then Sunday we are taking advantage of the TX tax-free weekend and school shopping.

Relish

Found some great pickling cucumbers at the farmer's market so I had to use this simple recipe for some relish. It's great on hot dogs and in pinto beans!

Cucumber Relish

8 cups diced cucumbers, do not peel

4 large onions, diced

4 cups sugar

2 cups vinegar

1 teas. tummeric

2 teas. celery seed

1 teas. cinammon

salt to taste

Mix all ingredients together in large pot. Boil 20 minutes. Pack in jars and process. Makes about 8 jars.
