On the Fence

Is everyone couponing now?  I have friends who are couponing alot.  I am on the fence about it.  I have tried the last few weeks to remember to keep the coupons from the Sunday paper and I signed up for couponmom.com that sends me emails about weekly deals. I did find one of Madison's old school binders and dig out some of Cullen's baseball card holders to make myself a little place to store all my coupons.  I can't figure out the whole CVS/Walgreens system of buying certain things and getting store bucks then turning around and using those to buy more things to get more store bucks, etc. 
I have one friend who solicits all her neighbors for their Sunday coupons and usually ends up with at least 10-15 sets every week.  She also goes to 3 different grocery stores every week.  I wish I had her commitment level but I just don't think I will ever be able to commit to that!  Granted, she usually feeds her family of six for way less than I feed us four every week.  She stores shampoo and soup in the her extra bathtub that they never use.   She's about one manic grocery trip from being on the TV show Extreme Couponing! 
I think part of my problem is that I'm too picky about what I buy.  And my kids are pretty picky too about what they want to eat.  I'm not going to use a coupon for something we don't want just because it's 25 cents off.  So I think for now I will be happy with using the coupons I find for the things we use and maybe commit to taking those savings and putting them in our vacation change jar.  (Love our vacation change jar!)
